of Long Island
Single Golfers of Long Island (SGLI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to making friends and building camaraderie through the game of golf. April of 2011 marks the 20th anniversary of its inception and now boasts a membership of over two hundred and fifty men and women.
Although golf is the focus of the organization, the group also finds time to share in social events such as an Annual Christmas Party, trips to Atlantic City, canoing, theater and an occasional dinner at a local restaurant.
The general meeting venue has been changed as of May 11, 2011 to Palmer's American Grille, 123 Fulton Street, Farmingdale, NY 11735, 516-420-0609,
www.palmersamericangrille.com (located in the strip mall, corner of Hempstead Tpke. (Rte 24) and Meritts Road on the second Tuesday of the month at Monroe's Pub in the Holiday Inn Plainview, exit 46 on the north side of the Long Island Expressway. Meetings begin at 7:30 PM.
