of Long Island
Single Golfers of Long Island (SGLI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to making friends and building camaraderie through the game of golf. April of 2010 marks the nineteenth anniversary of its inception and now boasts a membership of over two hundred and fifty men and women.
Although golf is the focus of the organization, the group also finds time to share in social events such as an Annual Christmas Party, trips to Atlantic City, canoing, theater and an occasional dinner at a local restaurant.
The general meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at Monroe's Pub in the Holiday Inn Plainview, exit 46 on the north side of the Long Island Expressway. Meetings begin at 7:30 PM.
